Did European leaders agree to include Bulgaria and Romania to the EU just for connecting Greece?

With the simple reason to connect Greece to the rest of Western Europe?

I still really could not understand why Romania and Bulgaria are part of the European Union, when all of their citizens moved immediately to the other countries in Europe as soon as they joined. The reason is because obviously these two countries are not economically qualified to be part of the EU.

So I hypothesized that the only real reason why Romania and Bulgaria are now part of the European Union is because Greece needed a way to transport goods by road or railroad to the rest of Western Europe?

What do you want to know about Romania ?

„ I want to know why you treat your children so badly.”

„are those dreadful orphanages still in operation?”

„I know that loads of them are here on the spanish costas, and living off prostitution, and drugs………and I’m sure this is happening in Britain too. „

What is your opinion about Romania and romanian people?

Aceasta intrebare a primit si raspunsuri negative si raspunsuri pozitive. Voi incepe sa enumar intai cateva dintre cele negative:

I beleive that your country is very poor, and it needs help.
not that we don’t, but your country has alot of children being sold for sex.”

„I have been to Transylvania, formerly part of Hungary.
The people were very nice but very poor.
I have known many Hungarians from what is now part of Romania and know they were discriminated against even to this day.”

Most United States citizens have no clue where Romania is, much less any clue about what type of people are from there.”

I spent 4 months in Romania and found the people to be wonderful. „

„They are simply some of the most wonderful people i have ever met.. i would not mind living there”

„I am from the USA
I have high regard for the Romanian people.
Through the years I have always admired their Olympic achievements especially in Gymnastics.
I have felt bad that they lived under Soviet domination for so long.”

„I’ve never been to Romania.
Those few Romanians whom I have met so far in here (UK):
hard working, nice, honest and genuine people
beautiful women:)
also, Romania produces fine wine

I’m from UK. They are(romanians) like most people in EU – honest, hard-working, friendly, etc. I hope now that they are in the EU there living standards will improve. They are very poor, compared to UK, so I hope we can all make sacrifices to help them. Unfortunately, the media here is always against Romanians (and most foreigners too). The media always portrays them negatively (crime, gangs, drugs, begging, etc).
