Do you remember those mornings when you get hungry and you don’t know what to eat? I had such mornings pretty often, and I would always snoop through the fridge to see if there’s anything good hiding in there, but most of the times I would close it back up, disappointed that I didn’t find anything I’d like. Then I would go snooping around in the closet, to see if maybe there was something in there.
And just when I was going to give up, I would notice in a small little corner a few cans of pate Bucegi. Almost immediately I would get a smile on my face, one of those smiles that you get when the light bulb switches on. I would grab one of the cans and go to the kitchen, get 4-5 large slices of bread on a plate, and I would spread on the entire can of pate. Most of the times I didn’t even need anything beside it, I would only eat that: the pate on bread! And I just want to say that I loved it!
Other times I would get a bit more creative, and I would decorate the bread with little slices of cucumbers, tomatoes or peppers, and with a little bit of cheese on the side. You have no idea how delicious this combination really is!
Pate Bucegi is made by Scandia, part of the numerous families of products such as Sibiu, Poiana Sunca, Traditions, Cardinali or Scandia. The factory was established in the year 1922 in Sibiu, its founder being Josef Theil. With a lot of skill and ingenuity, Theil manages to be well known on the national market as a producer of superior products of unquestionable quality, participating in numerous prestigious manifestations that made his name known. Slowly, but surely, the little factory J. Theil & Co from Sibiu developed, becoming number one in producing meat cans in Romania.
So if you don’t have anything to eat in the mornings, look really good trough your fridge or trough your closet, because maybe you’ll just find a forgotten pate Bucegi. And because it’s a quality pate, consistent and a trusted Romanian brand, I recommend it to everybody!
