Another great day in Bistrita! The seventh day of summer music camp, but perhaps the most special … Today we left the flute classes and chamber music rehearsals, we boarded the bus and we went on a trip!
In turning to Fiad Valley, we stopped a few minutes to remember the great poet of the romanian people, George Coşbuc.
His house, it is still there, at 15 km from Bistrita, in the village Coşbuc, once called “Hordou”. You could easily pass without remark it, this invaluable cultural value. A little house, with simple and specific beauty … I like to think that the people who lived there were so kind too..
Intrigued, we entered one by one in the hall . We could imagine one of his days of childhood. Hearth and traditional pot of polenta, utensils folk pottery, all are still there.
Next room, guest room, is designed to preserve many romanian and universal literature books, documents, photos, arranged chronologically. The Coşbuc family had even a prayer room … yes, his father was a reverend.
After me, the most important pieces of the museum are: his small cradle, his hat, his travel bag and cape. I looked long while, however I thought that .. he should be proud .. i have heard of him, he had not heard of me.
At exit, we saw his statue . We made pictures with the statue mister Cosbuc… and we had the bye in Transylvanian style. I will definitely return! Nice hike followed! fresh air, walking in pleasant company I have got so good!
