Zarnesti is a beautiful place in Brasov, Romania. From here you can reach at Rasnov and Bran with the train or with your own feets. There are like 5 km from Zarnesti to Bran and two train stations from Zarnesti to Rasnov ( Rasnov Railway station and Rasnov). You can find more here – bus program.

Why Zarnesti ? Because is a quiet little town, with welcoming people who can teach you a lot of our country and about our traditions. I live in Romania and for example I didn’t know that Zarnesti has 3 neighborhoods, I didn’t know that in Romania we have the biggest bear reservation  and also I didn’t know how green and fresh are those mountain places.

So Zarnesti has 3 neighborhoods where you can go for hosting. There are The Old Tohan, The New Tohan and The 6 March Neighborhood. The first two are neighborhoods with beautiful Saxon houses – mastery houses with high gates, gates made from wood, glass or steel.

From Zarnesti you can also reach at Piatra Craiului and Plaiul Foii. Here you can climb mountains and also trekking. Or if you are not into those two, you can admire the beautiful and green landscapes.

And because we all like animals, here in Zarnesti we have the Bear Reservation like I said before, that’s called LiBEARty. Here are bears from all the Europe. The bears are having an wealthy life and they can’t be hurt or hurt others.
